Natürlich, weil er die Brandbauer gegen die Super League gibt.
Das ist natürlich im Interesse aller Verbände.
FIFA s infantino hat eine Idee

It’s an idea as old as European Super Leagues, kick-ins & sin bins, & just as stubborn. Gianni Infantino opened FIFA’s annual sports law conference in Tokyo y’day by saying reform of the transfer system is a priority, with one idea being to use algorithms to set transfer fees.

Da geht noch viel mehr
UEFA have increased the Champions League prizes in response to the Super League. The budget has increased by 500 million euros. Just for participating, a club will receive €19m and not the previous €15m. Prize money for qualifying to the next rounds has also increased. —

But now, on the eve of congress, the revolt appears to have fizzled out to a lone vote of opposition from the English FA, which finds itself in the difficult position of voting against a bundle of reforms that it largely agrees with but cannot support because of the most high-profile change.
It had been hoping to unbundle these reforms, which include a commitment to increasing female representation on UEFA’s various committees, but UEFA has refused, turning Friday’s vote into an all-or-nothing choice.
The English have reluctantly chosen nothing, as they believe the spirit of the 2017 reforms were clear and Ceferin’s three-term limit had already started.
The FA and UEFA declined to comment when contacted by The Athletic.
Ceferin delivered a scene-stealing soliloquy in the post-congress media conference.
In a prepared statement, he berated the media for failing to understand that the statutes had to be amended as they had been poorly drafted in 2017 and then clarified, without the approval of congress, by the ExCo in 2020. That, he said, was illegal and meant he has always been able to stand again in 2027, if he wanted to, which begged a question he then answered.
After explaining that he was “tired” following his efforts to guide UEFA through the pandemic and oppose the European Super League, he said: “I have decided, around six months ago, that I’m not planning to run in 2027 anymore.
“The reason is that organisations need fresh blood and maybe because I was away from my family for seven years now and will be away from them for three more.”
Ceferin said there were two reasons for keeping his thoughts to himself until now: the first was that he wanted to “see the real face of some people — and I saw it, good and bad”, and the second was he did not want to influence the vote at congress.
He then, without naming him, turned to Boban’s “pathetic cry of morality”.
“He was one of the rare people who knew that I was not planning to run in 2027,” said Ceferin.
“The moment he got the info that I was not planning to run, he went out with his narcissistic letter. He could not wait because after my disclosure his whining would not make any sense.
“Now, think, whose personal aspirations are in question and whose morality is in question?”
Ceferin concluded by saying he could look himself in the mirror, was proud to be the captain of a united ship and had a “happy life” in and outside of football.
He then took three quick questions and left to tell the member associations about his decision to stand down in 2027. He did not have time to answer a question about the English FA apparently failing his test of loyalty.
An English FA spokeswoman told reporters afterwards that it backed all of the other statute changes, which included one to increase the minimum number of women on the ExCo from one to two, but could not support the wording of article 69.3, the change related to the start of the term limits.
“We believe that it was always intended that a principle of three terms of four years should be a maximum period for any UEFA ExCo member to serve,” she said.
“We have recently implemented governance changes of our own and think it’s important that we are consistent in our approach.
“We requested and voted for the statute changes to be tabled separately, but this was not supported by a sufficient majority and we respect that. We support all the other statute changes tabled at congress but, because they were tabled in a single bundle, we have voted against all of them, given our opposition to Article 69.3.”

UEFA also published its 2023/24 forecast and 2024/25 budget. Revenue projected to increase to €5.1bn in 2024/25 (+19.2% vs 2023/24F; +17.9% vs 2022/23A). Distributions to participating clubs projected to increase to €4.0bn in 2024/25 (+14.4% vs 2023/24F; +16.7% vs 2022/23A).
Solidarity payments are projected to increase to €466m in 2024/25 (+69.8% vs 2023/24F; +48.0% vs 2022/23A).
Projected revenue growth is driven primarily by UCL and UEFA SC rights, which are projected to increase in 2024/25 to €4.0bn (+22.7% vs 2023/24F; +23.4% vs 2022/23A). The projected UEL and UECL revenue increase is lower (+12.9% over 2023/24F; +15.5% vs 2022/23A).
Despite higher comparable revenue growth being derived from the UCL, projected 2024/25 distributions for the UCL, UEL, and UECL are +17.2% vs 2023/24F and +18.0% vs 2022/23A for each competition. No projected change to Super Cup distributions.
UWCL distributions are projected to be static through 2024/25. The next rights cycle will be from 2025/26 through 2029/30, with the bidding process currently in early stages.

A la long muss die ECA natürlich viel mehr Einfluss bekommen wie im JV

#FootballGovernance. Yesterday’s #UEFACongress ratified the appointment of the representatives of the #ECA and the #EuropeanLeagues on the #UEFA Executive Committee. The ExCo comprises now of 19 members (18M - 1 F) and has an average age of 60 years
